Training for supervisors of large and complex Uncrewed Surface Vessel operations
The USV ROC Supervisor - Mission Management simulator course prepares qualified and experienced remote operators, or professional seafarers who have completed MGN 703 recognised training to manage missions conducted from a Remote Operations Centre and to supervise remote operator teams across a range of USV missions from a ROC.
As USVs continue to grow in size, capability and operational complexity, the demand for ROC supervisors who can plan, conduct and manage complex missions safely and efficiently has never been greater.

The course combines operational best practice developing real-world supervisory skills, leadership, and the ability to gain effective situational awareness and to make capable decisions to manage modern USV missions in demanding maritime environments.

Delivered over five days at BMT's Digital Innovation & Simulation Centre (DISC) in Fareham, the programme is deliberately limited to a maximum of eight delegates to ensure every participant can fully engage with practical sessions and gain the maximum benefit from the learning environment.

Participants plan and lead a range of missions including the deploying of USV's under 24m in length, large USV's over 30 metres and high-speed craft, using the Marine AI state of the art control system, Guardian.
