Integrating UAV and USV Data in GIS
GIS practical training on integrating topographic data from UAV LiDAR and bathymetric data from USVs to create coherent models of the coastal zone, seabed and land.

The Integrating UAV LiDAR and USV Bathymetric Data in GIS course focuses on combining topographic data collected with UAV LiDAR and bathymetric data collected with USV platforms. The training is designed for users who want to create integrated land–water spatial datasets for coastal zones, rivers, lakes, reservoirs, harbours and shallow-water environments.
Participants will learn how to prepare, compare and merge datasets collected with different sensors, coordinate systems, resolutions and vertical references. The course covers point clouds, DEMs, bathymetric grids, raster surfaces, profiles, cross-sections and map products.
A key focus of the training is the creation of coherent terrain and bathymetry models th
at can be used for environmental monitoring, coastal morphodynamics, erosion studies, sediment analysis, flood modelling, engineering surveys and scientific documentation.
